Why have an Equality and Diversity Policy?
Equality and Diversity is very closely related
to our Corporate Values of Focusing on Customers and Respecting the
Individual. Riverside is committed to equality and strives to be
fair in its dealings with people, communities and organisations
with which it has relationships and take into account the diverse
nature of their culture and backgrounds.
Understanding our customers and their diverse
needs makes good business sense and is at the heart of delivering
good quality services. Taking account of the wide range of
customers’ needs and aspirations helps to ensure existing products
and services are kept relevant so that demand continues.
Single Equality Scheme
The launch of our Single Equality Scheme (SES)
2010-2013 builds on the work started by with our Equality and
Diversity Strategy and Policy. Our commitment is reflected in our
key strategies to help us work towards true equality for all.
You can view the summary which gives the
highlights of the scheme and sets out our commitment to:
- achieving equality of opportunity and equal access
for all
- improving equality
- valuing the diversity of all the communities
we serve, both as a service provider and an employer.
