Teenage Parents

Provide support & accommodation to Teenage women and children.

How we can help

We provide intensive support and a safe, comfortable environment for young Mums and their children.

Our aim is to help service users to make informed choices, recognise their own potential, accept responsibility and exercise control over their lives.

We work with agencies such as the Police, Homeless Sections of Local Authorities, Social Services, Health Professionals, Banardo’s Young Families and various other organisations. 

Facilities

teenage kitchenThere are 4 units of accommodation which comprise of a bedsit facility with own kitchenette. The kitchen area is equipped with its own fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle. Each bedsit has its own lounge area with settee and TV. We also have a communal kitchen, lounge, laundry room, bathroom and shower room.


 

Services

  • Training provided ‘in-house’ and in partnership with outside agencies
  • One-to-one support and tailored support plans
  • Help with housing benefit, housing and other benefits.
  • Dedicated staff on scheme 24hrs.

Who we can help

teenage bedroomReferrals are made to the project by a referring agency. The agency will send us a scheme referral form giving us as much information about the applicant as possible. An interview will then take place to allow a more in-depth risk/needs assessment. This helps to ensure that we are able to provide the support that the applicant needs and gives the applicant the opportunity to view the project and ask us any questions about the scheme.

Criteria for applications:

  • Teenage women and their children
  • Women aged from 16yrs
  • We do not accept women who have no recourse to public fund
