From March 2011, we will recharge some types of repair that are caused by deliberate misuse or negligence by tenants.

We are doing this because we don’t think it’s fair for all our tenants to pay for damage caused by a few. From now on, those who cause the damage will be the ones who pay for it.

This doesn’t affect repairs caused by normal wear and tear. These will still be done for free in the usual way.

Examples of the type of repair we will recharge include replacement locks if keys are lost, and damage to doors and windows.
