Helpline lets you live independently with the peace of
mind that help is available at the touch of a button.
You can reach a friendly voice 24 hours a day,
seven days a week, 365 days a year. Helpline is available to anyone
who needs the reassurance that help is at hand. All you need is a
telephone line and a power supply for your unit.
How it will help you
Helpline is designed to give you extra
security and comfort when you are at home. In an emergency, you can
contact someone quickly and easily any time of the day or night.
All you have to do is press the alarm button or activate the
portable trigger and this sends an alarm to our control centre.
Once you are connected you can talk to us
through the loudspeaker*. We can get in touch with one of your
emergency contacts or call the emergency services for you.
*Calls are recorded and may be used for
training purposes.
How much does the service
cost?
There is a small monitoring and maintenance
charge for using our service. We have a small one-off installation
charge and then there is nothing extra to pay – all repairs and
service costs are included. You only pay once your unit is
installed and working in your home.
The cost for the service includes:
— the set up of your Helpline unit
— monitoring and testing of the unit and equipment
— maintenance of the equipment in your home
— new batteries in the portable button when needed
(this is not covered for inappropriate
use).

Your responsibilities
If you decide to have a Helpline unit, all you
need to do is make sure you have a telephone connection and that
you:
— look after the equipment
— allow us access for maintenance and repairs
— make sure payments are kept up to date.
