In your area, we offer a free welfare benefits advice service. Advisors can visit you at home, meet in one of our offices or they can speak to you over the telephone.

Who should speak to us?

—    You’ve never had your benefits checked
—    You’re in arrears with your rent
—    You’ve had a change of circumstances*
—    You’re a new tenant
—    You have any other questions

*this could be a bereavement, marriage, divorce, redundancy, retirement,
loss of earnings, or a new baby

Kensington

The Health Energy Advice Team (HEAT) is based on Durning Road, Kensington. They provide free advice on many issues including; Benefits and grants, heating bills, access to training and employment and support for victims of domestic violence. Contact HEAT:

Riverside Home Contents Insurance can explain the benefits of Home Contents Insurance and make sure that tenants have the right information and advice on how to get insured.  Funded by the Department of Work and Pensions, Lynne Davies and Jackie Puleston are based at the Riverside Office on Prescot Road.  If you are a Riverside tenant, in a house, flat, sheltered scheme or supported accommodation you can contact them for more information. Dream High is a local organisation that supports people who have a dream of creating their own business. Free business coaching is provided to people who want to start their own enterprise or who have a current business that would benefit. This assistance is provided by an Enterprise Facilitator who is in turn helped by a large group of local residents and business people.  To find out more please vist the Dream High website.
