What apprenticeship opportunities are available?
#IN2Riverside is a dedicated apprenticeship offer which aims to create opportunities for you to start your career in housing.
We also have apprenticeship opportunities in finance, IT, housing, asset management and health and social care through our GROW programme. We are continually adding to our programme, so whatever your interests or career aspirations there is something for you.
How long does an #IN2Riverside apprenticeship last?
Generally an apprenticeship can last from a minimum of 12 months up to four years. Our #IN2Riverside apprenticeship opportunities last between 18 and 24 months depending on the route you apply for.
What is an #IN2Riverside apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship is where you are employed and undertake an apprenticeship qualification in a sector and subject that interests you. Whilst earning, you will learn and develop skills and knowledge in your chosen career. By the end of your apprenticeship, you’ll have gained the skills and knowledge needed to either succeed in your chosen career or progress onto the next apprenticeship level.
Our offer is no different. From day one you will be considered part of the team and will undertake new and interesting tasks. You will be supported along your apprenticeship journey with a mentor and a line manager who are there to support you.
You will enrol onto a planned development programme and receive lots of opportunities to network with other apprentices in the business. You can also access volunteer days that are specially designed to enable you to volunteer your time to support our local communities and programmes.
As an #IN2 apprentice, you will also benefit from a robust development offer that will enable you to achieve the skills and knowledge you need for your exciting career; you will also be supported by a thorough induction process including a ‘Great Start’ induction, and a bespoke apprenticeship induction day. You will also have access to the appropriate technology and kit to do your role.
Riverside also have a number of staff groups which you are welcome to join which support our aim to create an inclusive workplace.
What will I earn?
Earning and learning at the same time is one of the great advantages of undertaking an apprenticeship. You will start earning from day one, the minimum wage for an apprentice from April 2019 is £3.90 per hour for your first year but employers will often offer more depending on the role and level of the apprenticeship.
At Riverside we offer our #IN2Riverside apprentices up to £16,000 a year, along with a number of additional employee benefits and perks. You can also apply for a NUS Extra Apprentice discount card. As part of your package, we will fully fund your apprenticeship qualification, resulting in no tuition fees or student loans.
Who can apply?
Apprenticeships are available for any one over the age of 16, there are no maximum age restrictions. ‘Entry level’ apprenticeships are perfect alternative to university and ‘higher level’ apprenticeships can add value to graduates and those with existing experience.
Some apprenticeships do require certain minimum entry requirements and you will need to be eligible to acquire the appropriate funding. Further information can be found on each apprenticeship vacancy.
