Duncan has been a member of the Neighbourhood Services Committee since 2016. He is also Chair of Riverside’s Scotland Committee and Chair of Irvine Housing Association.
Duncan is a retired Chartered Accountant with a career in the petrochemicals and plastics industries and in the NHS. Duncan continues to be active in a number of voluntary organisations.
David has almost 40 years’ experience of social housing and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing. He was Chief Executive of the Liverpool Housing Action Trust during its 12 year programme of redevelopment and refurbishment of Liverpool's tower blocks. He was also Assistant Chief Executive of Merseyside Improved Houses, a former name of the Riverside Group.
He was awarded an OBE in 2006 for Services to Regeneration in Liverpool. He currently serves as a Trustee of the Whitechapel Centre, a Liverpool based charity dedicated to supporting the homeless and socially excluded.
David is a member of Riverside's Neighbourhood Services Committee and Riverside’s Scotland Committee.
Margaret was appointed to the Irvine Board in August 2016. Margaret is Chair of the Governance and Staffing Committee and a member of Riverside's Scotland Committee. Margaret is the former Scottish Government Minister for Housing and Welfare and was MSP for Cunninghame South 2011-2016. She was also previously a Manager at East Ayrshire Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB). Margaret brings a wealth of knowledge of the housing system in Scotland both from setting policy and direction as the Minister responsible, but also from the perspective of tenants from her many years working with the CAB service.
Gerard was formally elected to the Board in August 2016. Gerard is Chair of the Operations Committee and a member of Riverside's Scotland Committee. He has a broad range of public sector experience having worked as Acting Head of Housing and Communities with East Ayrshire Council.
In June 2014 Pauline retired from her role as Deputy Chief Executive and Corporate Director at Hull City Council. Previously, she worked in Nottingham and Liverpool both for the NHS and Local Government. She has led multi million pound regeneration projects and programmes such as New Deal for Communities, Housing Market Renewal, and Building Schools for the Future, Hull Extra Care Housing PFI scheme and Economic Development. Her role as Director of Regeneration in Hull included leadership of the Council’s 26,000 housing stock, repairs and maintenance service and heading up the successful bid for City of Culture 2017.
Pauline has a Master’s degree in Public Health and has worked across education, housing, health and regeneration during her 33-year career.
Pauline is an Honorary Member of the Faculty of Public Health. She spent a number of years as a school governor and was a Non–Executive Director of Wirral Primary Care Trust. She is currently a member of The Guinness Group Strategy and Performance Committee, a Board Member of Riverside Care and Support, and Derbyshire Health United. Pauline was recently appointed as Chair of the Riverside South and Central Division with effect from November 2015.
Pauline acts as Vice Chair of the Riverside Group Board, is Chair of the Governance & Remuneration Committee and also sits on the Scotland Committee.
A housing professional with over 30 years’ experience, Sue has been a Riverside Group Limited Board Member since December 2014 when she served on Cumbria Divisional Board as Chair. She later joined the Neighbourhood Services Committee in 2016.
She is currently the MD of Sue Powell Consultancy Limited and has recently overseen the operational merger of two Housing Associations. She also an experienced facilitator and has a keen interest in developing the role of tenants and residents. Prior to this, Sue has held several management positions within the Housing Sector.
Sue has a BA in Housing Studies and is a Corporate Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing, and also sits on their North West Board as policy lead.
