Our Telecare service helps to maintain your lifestyle and your independence as you or a loved one grows older. You can carry on doing the things in life that are important to you with a little bit of help from us. You’ll be able to stay safe in your own home with our range of personal alarms and sensor devices.

Giving you and your family peace of mind, our service is an affordable way of making sure you’re okay. Our monitoring service is an alternative to 24 hour staffing and great for helping people coming out of hospital and return to their own home sooner.

Using the latest state-of-the-art technology, you’ll have an alarm, and when you activate it will send an automatic call to our highly trained, dedicated team. When we get your call, our team can either talk directly to you and find out what help you need or, if there isn’t a response, contact the emergency services.

Telecare Services

Currently, we operate a 24 hour Telecare monitoring service for over 4,000 older and vulnerable people through our Liverpool monitoring centre.

Our Telecare monitoring service is a really affordable way of keeping your independence in your own home, while giving you peace of mind. Costs start from only £3 per week including 24/7 monitoring, repairs and maintenance of the equipment. You don’t need to be a current Riverside customer.

How does the Telecare alarm work?

Telecare alarms, you wear as a pendant or watch, carry around, or are buttons or alerting devices.

Our alarms are waterproof, so you can to keep them with you when you take a bath or shower. Help is on hand 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year, so if you press the button on the box or on the pendant, we’ll get your call for help straight away.

From the moment you call, our monitoring centre will know who you are, where you live and who to contact in an emergency. Pressed the alarm by accident? Don’t worry, you can just tell our monitoring centre, all’s well. And we need you to test that the alarm is working well once a month anyway. The Telecare alarm provided by Riverside offers a range of options to suit your needs.

How to get a Telecare alarm

Contact us and our expert team will talk you through the type of alarm and support that will suit you best. Family and friends can get in touch for you, and together we will get individual Telecare alarm support plan to suit you.

If you’re due to leave or have recently left hospital our Telecare alarm services are perfect to support you on your road to recovery. People living with long term conditions such COPD or diabetes can also benefit from our help, so too can anyone living with dementia. You can also be referred to us by your GP, your hospital discharge team, an occupational therapist or other agencies.
