You can apply for many of our homes on different websites and through local authorities.

In some areas this is via a waiting list that you need to register for. The other option is through a local choice based lettings partnership which lets you apply for the homes you’re interested in rather than going on a waiting list. Where possible, we advertise our homes through these lettings partnerships where you can see properties from lots of landlords all in one place.

In some areas, a number of properties are also given to people referred by the local authority. This is called a local authority nomination.

How do I apply for a home?

Search for the area that you want to live in below and follow the instructions for the relevant scheme in that area. The process does involve filling in some forms online so please be ready for that.

 

Riverside advertise many of its properties through Property Pool Plus Merseyside housing providers list their properties for rent here each week, giving you the chance to find your preferred home with a variety of houses, bungalows, flats, apartments and sheltered accommodation of various sizes from one, two, three, four and five bedrooms to choose from. There are typically around 200 homes available each week.  Some of them are ready right now, without the need to bid, just select the ‘Available Now’ option when conducting your property search. You can search through the properties now.  However you will not be able to bid (express an interest) for the Choice Based Lettings(CBL) properties until you have registered with Property Pool Plus. Anyone can register, whether you are in receipt of benefits, or in employment.  If you are not already registered, you can do so here. You can onlyapply for properties through Property Pool Plus if you have registered on the housing register. For details on how to apply to join the housing register click Who Can Use the Service. When you are accepted on to the housing register we will write to tell you:
  • Your housing application number
  • The band your application has been placed in and your priority date. Click Prioritising Applications for more information.
  • The number of bedrooms you are entitled to. Click bedroom standards for more information.
You must tell us if there are any changes in your circumstances so that we can reassess your application and if necessary make changes to your band and priority date. Property Type and Size of Property The type and size of property that you may apply for, can vary depending upon household size and other circumstances. The following table is a general guide only and will vary depending upon the availability of property and demands in particular areas.
