Richard is an experienced CEO, having operated across the Public and Private Sectors specialising in the areas of Healthcare, Retirement & Housing. He recently set up Brigid Investment Limited on behalf of John Laing and was CEO of the business. It is the largest owner and investor of specialist new build retirement rental assets across the UK. Previously he was CEO of Rangeford, a Retirement Development and Domiciliary Care Business and a Managing Director at McCarthy Stone. He has also worked as a Director at St Andrew’s Healthcare, and Octopus Healthcare.

He holds several Non Executive Director roles, with a Local Authority owned Residential Development Company, BexleyCo and a Primary Care Asset Owner, Community Health Partnerships, an NHS backed Investment and Operating Company and was previously Group Vice Chair of Abri.

Paul Sammut

Appointed April 2025

Having worked in the local authority for 16 years. Paul brings a wealth of experience in delivering front line services that are to a high standard on budget with the residents at the core of the delivery.

In the later years, Paul has focused on delivering community-based events, alongside managing, and delivering a capital improvement programme. Whilst running a charity that operates within the local authority.

Paul is also the chair of the Island Area Resident Panel, being part of the area panel since it was established in 2014. Paul is also a social housing resident of One Housing Riverside in the island region of Tower Hamlets.

Ian Gregg
Ian Gregg

Appointed May 2025

Ian joined the Riverside Group in May 2014. He is responsible for all of the Group’s homes and buildings, ensuring that they are all safe and well maintained. Ian is also responsible for the Group’s wholly owned subsidiary contractor, Evolve.

He is the nominated Health and Safety Lead for the Group. He leads the Group Procurement Function and is the responsible officer for Business Continuity.

Ian is the Executive Lead for Riverside at the Greater Manchester Housing Partnership and leads for GMHP on Homelessness and Housing Access.

After initially beginning his career as a student surveyor with Manchester City Council, Ian has subsequently worked for Midland Heart, Parkway Green, Regenda Group, Guinness Northern Counties and Harvest Housing Group.

Paul Seymour

Appointed May 2025

Paul is Executive Director of Customers & Communities at Wythenshawe Community Housing Group. Paul has worked in housing for over 30 years, working in both the Welsh and English regulatory environment for housing associations.

Paul has experience of both operational and strategic management in general needs housing, independent living and extra care, supported housing, care and nursing care.

Paul’s passion is making a difference, hearing the customer voices and using his lived experience of social housing to make a difference to residents and communities.
