This service provides long-term supported housing for men and women aged 18 and over who have a learning disability, including people with more complex needs. The accommodation is for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and who need ongoing support to live independently.
You will have your own self-contained flat and a personalised support plan that focuses on your individual needs and goals. Referrals are made by agencies and families based in Hull. Residents are expected to be receiving benefits and to require support to manage daily living and housing responsibilities.
Although the accommodation is long-term, the service will support you to move on to more independent housing when you feel confident and ready. After you leave, follow-up tenancy support is available, including access to supported resettlement properties.
Getting the most out of the service
You will be supported to build confidence and practical life skills, such as managing money, reducing debt, and maintaining your tenancy. The service also focuses on improving self-esteem and helping you build positive relationships with family, friends, and wider support networks. Ongoing support is designed to help you stay connected and independent in the community.
