Bolton House offers temporary accommodation with intensive support for people who are homeless or at serious risk of homelessness and who have a recent offending background or are at risk of re‑offending. The service supports both men and women aged 18 and over who are ordinarily resident in the borough of Bolton.
You will work closely with a Support Worker who will help you identify your needs, set goals and work towards greater independence. Support is usually provided for up to six months, with the aim of helping you move on to independent accommodation within the Bolton Borough. Move‑on is dependent on the availability of suitable housing.
Referrals to Bolton House are made through Bolton Homeless Welfare, Housing Advisers at prisons, Riverside Housing surgeries held at Bolton Probation, and local drug and alcohol services.
Once you move on, you will also have access to Floating Support services to help you settle into independent living and maintain your tenancy.
To get the most out of the service, you are expected to actively engage with your Support Worker. In return, the service will help build your confidence, self‑esteem and support you to work towards your aspirations.
