Bradford Project provides temporary accommodation for homeless and vulnerably housed single adults aged 18 to 65 who have low to medium support needs. The service can also help people who are looking to move or relocate to the Bradford area and need affordable rented accommodation.
Residents receive a housing management service from a team of four housing officers. The housing officers work with other agencies that provide support services, helping people maintain their accommodation and move towards greater independence. Support is available Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm.
Applicants are expected to be able to manage a tenancy with housing management support and, where needed, low-level floating support. People who already have a floating support worker can also be considered where they receive dedicated help with tenancy maintenance and becoming tenancy ready.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must:
- Be a single homeless or vulnerably housed adult aged 18 to 65
- Be male or female
- Have low to medium support needs and risks
- Be eligible for Housing Benefit, or be able to demonstrate they can pay rent and service charges in full
- Have floating support in place, or be willing to engage with interim or drop-in support while referrals are processed where support needs exist
- Provide evidence of engagement with substance misuse services where substance misuse is a factor
- Have high-level support or a Care Programme Approach (CPA) in place where higher mental health support needs are identified
