How the service works

Chapter Street provides safe, supported accommodation for women with mental health needs. The service focuses on helping women build confidence, develop life skills, and move on to independent living within two years.

Two full‑time staff members work closely with each woman to create a personalised support plan. Support is tailored to individual needs and goals, helping residents build skills for daily living, improve wellbeing, and reconnect with their community. Staff also work in partnership with Westminster agencies to make sure support is well coordinated.

The service is designed to be a stepping stone. Women are supported to move on to independent living, usually within a two‑year period, when they feel ready and confident to do so.

Referrals and contact information

Referrals can only be accepted from priority Westminster agencies. To be considered, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Women only
  • Aged 18 or over
  • Currently under the Care Programme Approach (CPA)
