Our service starts with an assessment of your needs. This helps us understand what support you need to maintain your tenancy and achieve your goals. Together, we create a personal support plan that focuses on what matters most to you, including your aspirations.
Support is delivered through one‑to‑one sessions. These can take place in your home, out in the community, or at our office. We also offer a drop‑in service at our office on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10am to 1pm, by appointment.
We work closely with other services, including local authority teams and voluntary organisations, to provide joined‑up, wrap‑around support.
Who the service supports
The service is for people:
- Aged 18 and over
- Living in the London Borough of Hackney
- Placed outside Hackney in temporary accommodation by Hackney Council
- With housing‑related support needs
- Living in any type of housing tenure
When referrals may not be accepted
We may not be able to accept referrals for people who:
- Live in high‑support residential or institutional settings and are likely to remain there
- Live outside the service catchment area (unless placed in temporary accommodation by Hackney Council)
- Have risks that are considered unacceptable following a needs and risk assessment
- Have support needs that are the responsibility of statutory services, unless housing support is part of an agreed wider support plan
- Are already homeless, including people staying with friends or family
Making a referral
Referrals can be made by professionals such as social workers and Hackney Council teams, or by self‑referral.
- We aim to respond to referrals within 5 working days
- If someone is not eligible, we will explain why and signpost to other services
- If you are unsure about eligibility, you can speak to the referral team
