Guildford HOST

What you will find at the accommodation

How the service works

Guildford HOST is an outreach and support service for people aged 18 and over who are rough sleeping, or at risk of rough sleeping, in the Guildford area. The service is funded by Guildford Borough Council and is available to anyone in the borough who needs this type of support.

The team works in a positive and supportive way, focusing on engagement and building trust. Support is tailored to each person and aims to open doors to new opportunities, reduce the risk of homelessness, and help break the cycle of rough sleeping. HOST also supports people who have slept rough in the past and are moving into a tenancy, helping them manage and keep their home during this difficult transition.

If someone has a local connection to another area, HOST can help them reconnect safely with their home area. The service also works closely with Guildford Borough Council and partner agencies to make sure people can access the right help at the right time.

The service operates Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, with an on-call service at weekends from 9am to 5pm.
