Lily Smith House, Maidstone

What you will find at the accommodation

How the service works

Lily Smith House provides accommodation and support for vulnerable adults experiencing homelessness. We offer a stable home, focus on your strengths, and support you to take positive steps towards independence and breaking the cycle of homelessness.

We support adults aged 18 and over who have complex needs, such as mental health challenges, substance misuse, or experiences of trauma, and who are rough sleeping, homeless, or at risk of homelessness.

All referrals to Lily Smith House are made through Maidstone Borough Council. You can approach the council directly or be referred through your Local Authority.

From the point of referral, our Coaches will work closely with you to:

  • Develop a personalised support plan based on your strengths, aspirations, and support needs
  • Identify your skills, interests, and passions and explore how these can help increase your independence
  • Support you to access services in the community to improve your health and wellbeing
  • Begin planning for move-on accommodation from day one, including options through the Local Authority, private landlords, or specialist longer-term supported housing

If you are homeless, you can make a homeless application by visiting Maidstone Borough Council at Trinity, 20 Church Street, Maidstone, ME14 1LY:

  • Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday: 9am–5pm
  • Wednesday or Friday: 9am–1pm

If you already have a homeless application, speak to your Housing Advice Officer or Homeless Prevention Support Worker about being considered for Lily Smith House.
