Lucas Court, Romford

What you will find at the accommodation

How the service works

Lucas Court provides low to medium levels of support and accommodation for people who are homeless and have mental health needs. The service is designed to help you build confidence, learn new skills, and become more independent, with the goal of moving on to your own home.

Referrals are accepted from individuals themselves or through mental health services in the London Borough of Havering. To be eligible, you must be single, aged 18–65, have a diagnosed mental health need, and have an allocated Care Coordinator. You will need to be able to live independently, including managing your own medication.

During your stay, you will work closely with your Support Worker through regular key working sessions. You will also receive a weekly activity calendar showing events and sessions you can join, with support to attend if needed.

When you are ready to move on, the team works with local housing associations, supported housing providers, and private landlords to help you find suitable accommodation. After you move, you will receive up to three months of follow‑up tenancy sustainment support to help you settle in and maintain your new home.

How this service is different

Lucas Court focuses on building your skills, confidence, and independence, helping you break the cycle of homelessness and move towards a more fulfilled life.
