Newbury House, Manchester

What you will find at the accommodation

How the service works

Newbury House is a supported accommodation service for people of any gender, including single people and couples, who are currently rough sleeping and have complex needs. The service is designed for people who may have found other services unsuitable and need a higher level of tailored support. Access to Newbury House is through a dedicated outreach team from Manchester City Council, who work across Manchester to identify people who would benefit from this type of support.

Once at Newbury House, support is shaped around each individual. In‑house support workers and project workers help people manage challenges such as mental health, substance use, and other complex needs. The service works closely with partner organisations, using a co‑working approach so that visiting specialists can provide regular, focused support. Customers are supported at their own pace and are involved in decisions about the help they receive.
