The Pimlico Pathway Project provides accommodation‑based support for people with complex mental health needs, including those with dual diagnosis needs. The service operates across five buildings in the Pimlico area of Westminster and works as a single pathway, meaning customers can move between buildings or other Westminster services as their needs change. Two buildings support people with more acute mental health needs, while the other three support people who are further along in their recovery and need less intensive help.
Everyone using the service has a dedicated key worker, known as a journey coach. They provide regular one‑to‑one support, either at the scheme or at a nearby location if preferred. Specialist staff also work across the service to develop activities, build partnerships, support personal goals, and help plan move‑on options when someone is ready. The management team is on site Monday to Friday, with additional management presence outside these hours. There is 24/7 waking staff cover at the two hub buildings, with staff support available to the other buildings when needed, including overnight.
The service focuses on recovery and helping people build confidence, independence and wellbeing. Key outcomes include improved self‑esteem, better mental health, harm reduction, meaningful daily activity, social inclusion and support into education, training or employment where appropriate.
