The Crossings, Hull

What you will find at the accommodation

How the service works

The Crossings is open to people aged 18 and over who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Referrals are made through Local Assessment Centres, the Local Authority, or other relevant agencies.

Before moving in, you will be invited to a risk and needs assessment. This helps check that the scheme is right for you and that the support offered matches your needs. Once you move in, your Support Worker will work with you to agree clear goals and provide regular reviews to help you make progress.

Getting the most out of our service

Residents are supported to work towards their ambitions and develop new skills. Your Café, a social enterprise based at The Crossings and open to the public, offers hands-on training and experience in catering and customer service. This can help you work towards recognised qualifications.

Your Support Worker can also help you apply for local grants and budgeting loans, supporting a successful move on into more permanent accommodation.

How this service is different

The Crossings is more than temporary accommodation. The team provides an enabling, supportive environment that helps people regain independence, move into their own home, and get back into work with confidence.
