SASH is a supported housing service for men and women aged 18 and over. The service supports people with complex needs, including drug and alcohol use and mental health needs.
Customers are supported to build the skills and confidence they need to move on to independent living. The focus is on practical support, wellbeing, and preparing for a successful move into their own home.
Customers live at SASH while receiving tailored, on-site support from a friendly and experienced team. Support is designed around each person’s needs and goals, helping them to manage day-to-day life and plan for the future.
The team provides regular support with:
- Budgeting advice
- Housing advice
- Health and wellbeing support
- Tenancy training
- Advocacy
- Benefits advice
Customers are encouraged to build independence at their own pace. Staff work closely with each person to help them develop the skills needed to manage a tenancy and live independently.
As part of the move-on process, the Salford Council Supported Tenancy Officer visits the service every week. They meet with customers to talk about housing options, support move-on planning, and help customers bid for properties.
