The Victoria Project

What you will find at the accommodation

How the service works

The Victoria Project is a supported housing service for people with complex needs, especially those who have experienced homelessness linked to addiction and/or mental health challenges. It provides safe accommodation alongside tailored support to help residents rebuild confidence and move forward with their lives.

This service supports people who are working through the issues that led to their homelessness. Many residents have experience of addiction, mental health difficulties, or both. The focus is on helping people feel stable, supported and motivated to make positive changes.

Everyone at The Victoria Project is supported to take ownership of their situation and work towards personal goals. Staff use a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) approach, which means support is based on understanding how past experiences affect behaviour and wellbeing.

You will receive one-to-one support to understand your needs and help you access the right services. This may include:

  • Detox and addiction support
  • Mental health services
  • Counselling and emotional support

Staff take time to listen to your views. Your feedback helps shape the service and create new opportunities for current and future residents.

How this service is different

The Victoria Project is safe, secure and staffed 24/7, with a manager on site Monday to Friday and a duty manager available at weekends. Support continues even after you move on, with out-of-hours appointments available for people who live locally. It’s more than just housing – it’s emotional support, stability and space to grow.
