Townsend Gardens is a safe and secure home in Selly Oak, Birmingham, for young women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. We support residents who may have experienced domestic violence, sexual abuse or family breakdown. We also support young women who are pregnant and homeless, or who have refugee status.
Riverside offers specialist support to people affected by domestic abuse. Support is tailored to each person and focuses on building confidence, independence and life skills. Residents are encouraged to take part in one-to-one sessions and work towards moving on to suitable, independent accommodation when they are ready.
To be eligible, you must be aged 18–25 and referred through the Birmingham Youth Hub.
Getting the most out of our service
You will have a voice at Townsend Gardens and are encouraged to share feedback with staff and suggest improvements to the service. We will work with you to prepare for independent living and support you to move on to accommodation that is right for you.
