Wirral Dispersed Service

What you will find at the accommodation

How the service works

This is a dispersed floating support service for people aged 18 and over who have previously been homeless and have low to medium support needs. Customers live in their own temporary homes across the Wirral, rather than in one single building.

Each customer is matched with a dedicated support worker. The support worker visits once a week for around one hour, either in the customer’s home or close by. Together, they create a personalised support plan based on the customer’s goals and needs. Support focuses on building skills and confidence so customers can manage their tenancy and move towards long-term, independent living.

The service acts as a “stop gap” between hostel accommodation (or similar) and a permanent, sustainable tenancy. While most support is delivered in the community, the service is managed mainly from the office in Birkenhead.
The service operates Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and is closed on bank holidays.
