Riverside’s three innovative extra care developments in Hull are helping people with care needs live independently.

Available to over 18s, the homes in Harrison Park, Cecil Gardens and Redwood Glades are designed to suit a range of care and support needs.

The bright and modern one and two-bedroom apartments have:

  • stylish kitchens
  • wet room-style bathrooms
  • a full range of white goods
  • curtains and carpets throughout
  • private balconies or patios.

With the independence of your own private apartment, there’s also a sense of community right on your doorstep. You’re free to come and go as you please, welcoming visitors whenever suits you. And when you need a little extra help, your friendly team is on site to deliver your care package, as well as provide emergency support as required.

There are a range of community-focused activities and some great facilities on offer too.

  • Meet up with friends, family or other residents for coffee and cake or a filling meal in our restaurant and cafe.
  • Make the most of the outdoors in the communal gardens.
  • Treat yourself to a pampering at our on-site hairdressers.
  • Get to know your neighbours and try out some fun activities in the communal lounge.
  • Join in a variety of activities in our multi-purpose and training rooms.

Our apartments have been designed with flexibility in mind to meet the needs of a broad range of customers, including wheelchair users and customers living with dementia.

Every room features extra-wide doors, making access easier and more comfortable for everyone.

Safety is a top priority, so each apartment is equipped with sprinklers, heat, smoke, and flood detectors, as well as a secure entry system to help keep you safe and give you peace of mind.

As your needs change, an Occupational Therapist can assess your situation and recommend any necessary adaptations to your home. We’re able to install features such as grab rails, shower seats, and telecare solutions for sensory impairments quickly and efficiently. If you require more extensive adaptations, like wheelchair-friendly kitchens or hoists, we can consider those as well to ensure your living space remains comfortable and accessible.
