Newbury House, 80 Daisy Bank Road, Victoria Park, Manchester, M14 5GJ
Newbury House is a supported accommodation project for people who have experience of long-term rough sleeping and who have complex needs.
Support and accommodation are provided for any gender, for single people, or couples who are currently rough sleeping and have complex needs.
Access to Newbury House comes via a dedicated outreach team, from Manchester City Council, who work across Manchester identifying customers needing the support that Newbury House specialises in providing.
Newbury House has 16 beds and offers inhouse support workers and project workers dedicated to helping people manage their drug and alcohol issues, mental health, and complex needs.
We work in partnership with other organisations meaning that dedicated alcohol and drug workers visit on a regular basis, enabling a co-working approach that can ensure support is tailored to the individual.
We offer guidance to our customers in a range of areas including health, with help in organising and advocating in GP and hospital appointments, benefit enquires and other services and assistance when requested by our customers such as life skills like budgeting and cooking. We also provide several areas of volunteer support, including a counsellor who customers can access one day a week.
The accommodation at Newbury House features a communal lounge, dining room and kitchen. Each customer has a self-contained furnished bedroom with en-suite toilet and shower room.
