You can apply for many of our homes on different websites and through local authorities.

In some areas this is via a waiting list that you need to register for. The other option is through a local choice based lettings partnership which lets you apply for the homes you’re interested in rather than going on a waiting list. Where possible, we advertise our homes through these lettings partnerships where you can see properties from lots of landlords all in one place.

In some areas, a number of properties are also given to people referred by the local authority. This is called a local authority nomination.

How do I apply for a home?

Search for the area that you want to live in below and follow the instructions for the relevant scheme in that area. The process does involve filling in some forms online so please be ready for that.

 

Riverside advertise a number of properties through Northumberland Homefinder Northumberland Homefinder is Northumberland County Council’s housing allocation service, delivered in partnership with a number of housing associations.  If you want to apply for a property that is owned by any of these landlords you need to apply to join Northumberland Homefinder. To join you need to complete an application form.  You can do this online or you can obtain one from any of our offices or you can download one here. If you need help to complete the application form, you can contact us.  Our details are in the How to Contact Us section of the website. Once you are registered, to find out about the properties that we have available click on Property Search at the top of the page.  Available properties will be advertised from 00:01 on a Thursday until 23:59 the following Monday.  If you see a property you would like to be considered for you will need to “bid”.
