Veteran-specific accommodation and support

Veterans’ accommodation services help create peer support, and offer extra help with health, education, and employment. These services also remove barriers that veterans face in mainstream homelessness services.

Supporting veterans who are homeless is a key part of Riverside Care and Support. Our specialist housing centres—The Beacon, Hardwick House, and Mike Jackson House—show our commitment to helping veterans.

Understanding veterans’ needs

There is often more than one reason why someone is at risk of homelessness. These can include:

Op FORTITUDE

Op FORTITUDE is funded by the Office for Veterans' Affairs, which sits within the Ministry of Defence. It provides a central pathway for veterans who need supported housing.
