Susan has been a chartered accountant for 20 years, and has 17 years of experience in a number of finance director posts, latterly as Group Finance Director of British Nuclear Fuels Plc until its closure and her retirement in September 2009. Susan is a non-executive director of Magnox Ltd, a £600m turnover nuclear site operating company, where she chairs their Audit and Governance Committee. She is also an active member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, sitting on their Manchester District Committee. Susan also acts as an adviser to the Shareholder Executive in the Department of Business.
Until recently Philip has been a member of The Riverside Group Limited Board and was also Chair of the Group Audit Committee. Philip is Group Treasurer of Shop Direct Group Limited, (formally Littlewoods Shop Direct Group), which has a turnover of around £1.7 billion. He is also a member of the senior management team. His responsibilities cover banking relationships, cash flow management, securitisation, hedging of foreign currency and energy costs and advising on other financial matters.
Philip currently sits on Riverside Finance Plc and also on the Group Treasury Committee.
Devan is currently the Group Treasurer for Gazeley, one of the leading investors and developers of logistics real estate in the U.K. and Europe. Prior to this he was an Assistant Director for Centrus Advisors. He is currently studying for an MCT Advanced Diploma with the Association of Corporate Treasurers. He also has a Masters in Applied Finance (Hons) and holds the Australian ACA equivalent Chartered Accountant qualification.
Devan has over 10 years’ of Corporate Finance and Treasury experience which has entailed investor relationship management, debt raising & risk management, securitisation, M&A and equity management, illustrating his exceptional skills when serving on the Group Treasury Committee. Devan was appointed in October 2017.
Nigel is a Finance Professional with over 30 years’ experience within Housing Associations (LSVT, Traditional, Care, ALMO), Property and Finance. Nigel has recently been employed as a Relationship Manager for the Housing Finance Corporation where he lent around £2bn of capital markets and EIB funding to associations UK-wide. Prior to this he worked in three housing associations and before that, in two commercial property development companies.
Nigel has recently stepped down from the Council of Mortgage Lenders Social Housing Panel and the Social Housing SORP Working Party. He currently sits on the CIPFA/ NHF editorial panel for the ‘Housing Finance Manual and in October 2017 was appointed to Riverside’s Group Treasury Committee.
