Customers with learning disabilities invited to take part in research project

A team of university researchers are inviting Riverside customers with learning disabilities to take part in a research project.

If you have a learning disability, you can view the ad here.

The project, entitled “Renting your own place” aims to better understand what works well and what doesn’t in the housing process and the extent to which people get help from social care services.

Customers who take part will be compensated for their time and input with a £30 Love2Shop voucher.

The researchers, from The Universities of York and Bristol, are looking for a total of 40 people who:

  • live in England
  • have a learning disability
  • rent their own home – from a private landlord or from a social housing organisation

How to take part

If you would like to take part or have any questions you can contact Eppie who is one of the researchers.

This project is supported by Riverside, Learning Disability England and self-advocates from My Life My Choice and York People first.
