Evolve Facility Services, our in-house repairs service, won the Excellence in Contractor Engagement award at the national Tpas awards last week (Thursday 12 July).
Evolve were recognised for their work with the Cathie Stankevitch Foundation, a Widnes charity which supports disadvantaged children, young people and adults in the area who face barriers to a normal life.
This accolade comes after their award at the regional Tpas awards earlier this year.
The project was fuelled by a real community spirit – a local business donated some office space and the Foundation needed help to turn it into a safe environment for the people they support. They reached out to the local community for help, and Evolve responded without hesitation.
Evolve refurbished the entire space completely free of charge, transforming it into a multifunctional hub where the charity can hold events, run activities and provide even more support to the people they help.
Tpas are leading tenant engagement experts and their annual awards recognise people, ideas and organisations that shape tenant engagement and contribute to driving up standards in social housing.
Ian Gregg, Executive Director of Asset Services at Riverside said: “We’re really proud to win this national award which recognises the great work being done by our team at Evolve. The Cathie Stankevitch Foundation are a really important local charity and I’m sure this space will help them do even more fantastic work. This particular project has a special place in our hearts because it’s one of the ways we’re achieving our aim to transform lives and revitalise neighbourhoods.”
