A Riverside customer who joined our Evolve maintenance team has been named Apprentice of the Year at the National Housing Maintenance Forum (NHMF) Best Practice Awards.
Callum Abdallah, who lives in Liverpool, first discovered his interest for all things electrical while watching our Evolve operatives at work in his home.
He was determined to pursue a career within the trade and contacted our Employment and Training Team, who supported him with his application.
Callum is now just over a year into his four-year apprenticeship. During his time as an apprentice Callum has demonstrated a real enthusiasm for the role, becoming a key member of the electrical team and a role model for other apprentices. And his college is delighted with his progress too.
Callum, said:
“It was an amazing night and quite an experience. I can’t believe I won; I am lost for words. Thank you so much for your support, I’m delighted to have had this opportunity and can’t wait to see what comes next.”
Andy Davies, Head of Electrical Compliance, added:
“We take immense pride in Callum’s achievement in securing this esteemed award. As a vital member of our Electrical team, he has truly earned this recognition.
“We are fortunate to have such a skilled group of apprentices at Evolve, and we eagerly anticipate witnessing the especially promising future that lies ahead for Callum. Congratulations, Callum!”
Well done Callum, we’re really proud of you!
