Saturday’s Phoenix Festival in Lewisham was a huge success with hundreds of local residents enjoying free family fun in the good weather.
Riverside community engagement officer Wendy Mason said: “It was great to see the community coming together. It’s important to support events like this, not only to bring tenants together, but as an opportunity to share information on the services Riverside offer including affordable warmth and money advice.”
Working in partnership with Phoenix Community Housing, the free event at Forster Memorial Park in Lewisham, featured a fun fair, petting farm, dog show, BMX track and circus tent.
As a long-standing social landlord in the area, Riverside regional director Stephen Elliot said: “We are proud to be a part of the Lewisham and Bromley communities, and it was great to make connections with tenants and other service providers for the area. Riverside is committed to transforming lives and revitalising communities.”
