Local housing staff deliver Winter Warmth Packs

Riverside staff  helped deliver Winter Warmth Packs, containing winter essentials to members of their community on the North Bransholme estate

In partnership with Fusion 21, who provided the packs, staff distributed the packs to local households to help out over the post Christmas period.

Riverside are keen to make sure that their customers have all the support they need to prosper in their homes in the winter months and some of the services provided include our Affordable Warmth Officers; if customers are worried about how they will heat their homes, pay utility bills and stay warmth and healthy, our team can help.

Our Money Advice Officers can help if customers are either employed or unemployed and could be one of the millions of people missing out on financial help, benefits, tax credits or grants.  The team will be happy to carry out a full benefit assessment to ensure they are not missing out.

In addition our Employment and Training team can provide one to one support to help our customers if they are looking for employment and training opportunities.

Rhoda Wilkinson, Project Officer, said “Winter is an especially difficult time for many of our customers. It is really important that people are able to stay warm and well.  The Winter Warmth packs from Fusion 21 have been a great way to provide over 200 people with some additional practical help as the weather gets colder.”

Ian McDonough, Community Regeneration Manager at Fusion21, said: “It has been a pleasure to offer our support to Riverside communities this winter. The blanket, gloves, and non-perishable goods supplied within our packs, will contribute to improving both the health and wellbeing of vulnerable residents.”
