Riverside sponsored a North Bransholme dance academy to enable them to
perform on stage in London.
Roar Dance Academy, based at Kingswood Academy, was formed by dance teacher Becky Crisp.
Children aged from three to 17 years are able to learn street and acro dance at the academy.
The sponsorship from Riverside will help towards the cost of a coach to take 16 of Roar’s dancers to London, after they were invited to take part in Bobby Dazzlers at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London.
Bobby Dazzlers is an event that allows groups to showcase their work to audiences in the West End. Roar Dance will be performing a Justin Bieber routine.
Community Engagement Team Leader Lee Bailey said: “We are delighted to be able to help out Roar Dance with their trip to Her Majesty’s Theatre.
“This is a great opportunity for them to show off their dance skills and I am sure everyone will be impressed with their routine.”
