Monkton
We’ve just handed over 50 homes at Monkton – our second venture into South Ayrshire.

These new, high-quality, affordable homes will help local people in housing need, following the completion of a project with Persimmon West Scotland.

The much-needed affordable homes have been built on Persimmon’s Fairfields development in Monkton and include a variety of two and three bedroom properties.

Heather Anderson, Head of Service Delivery at Riverside Scotland, was joined on site by the home builder’s West Scotland Managing Director, Chris Logan, to mark the completion of the project and to meet with local residents to hear how the new affordable homes are already benefitting families in need.

Tarryholme, Irvine
In North Ayrshire phase 2 of Tarryholme is now complete following the successful completion of  87 homes in phase 1 in 2019.

This development provides 77 new homes for rent, including 12 two-bed Cottage Flats for Veterans, 36 two-bed Amenity Bungalows, 3 two-bed Wheelchair Bungalows, 2 three-bed Wheelchair Bungalows, 16 two-bed houses, 4 three-bed houses and 4 four-bed houses.

Riverside Scotland has a strong commitment to supporting veterans and has a policy of committing more than 10% of its new homes to veteran households.

In Tarryholme the 10% target was exceeded, with 15% of the homes being for veterans.

The partnership agreement with Veterans First Point was in place for phase 2 of our Tarryholme development and 13 veterans were rehoused in this phase.
