Riverside’s Property MOTs have won a national accolade for an outstanding approach to repairs and maintenance at this year’s UK Housing Awards.
The awards, organised by Inside Housing and Chartered Institute of Housing, celebrate the achievements of organisations, individuals and projects that are leading the way in affordable housing.
The outstanding approach to repairs and maintenance category recognises work to fulfil a vital function, where landlords show real commitment to investing in properties, making a real impact on the standard of homes and lives of people living in them.
Ian Gregg, Executive Director of Asset Services, said: “We are really proud to win this award that recognises our completely different approach. Whilst we’re delighted to have collected it, what matters more is that our new approach has seen customers’ satisfaction with their home increase by 9% and Riverside reduce its costs by £10million a year, which is all being used to continue to invest in our key services.”
A Property MOT is one of the new ways we deliver repairs and maintenance to our tenants. It’s like a home health-check – instead of waiting for you to tell us about a repair, we’ll come to you and look at your home from top to bottom for anything that needs fixing or updating, from a leaky tap to a damaged roof. It makes life easier for you and leaves your home safe and repair free for longer.
