Riverside celebrates industry-leading award wins and nominations

Following a busy six months of award submissions, Riverside is celebrating multiple award wins and nominations at ceremonies across the UK.

This includes the Northern Housing Awards where Riverside has been nominated for five awards this year.

These awards will celebrate individuals and organisations who are helping to improve homes and communities in the north.

Riverside has been shortlisted in five categories:

  • Best Digital Transformation
  • Northern Housing Partnership of the Year (two nominations)
  • Best Retrofit Initiative/Project
  • Supported Housing Scheme of the Year
  • Best Use of Technology by a Social Landlord

The new nominations recognise Riverside’s work across a range of different areas. The longstanding relationship between Riverside, WPS and Constructive Thinking is reflected through the Partnership of the Year nomination while Riverside’s AI Transformation Programme is acknowledged in its nomination for the Best Use of Technology award.

Riverside’s ongoing partnership with property maintenance firm WPS and architectural practice Constructive Thinking has delivered large-scale retrofit works alongside targeted social value initiatives. This has included supporting more than 1,000 families through donations to community groups across the North West.

Established in early 2025, Riverside’s AI Transformation Programme has seen the organisation develop a single set of strategic AI roadmaps involving Salesforce AgentForce, Microsoft Copilot, predictive analytics and agentic AI. The programme has already achieved sector-leading results, improving customer service efficiency and a doubling of the number of AI-capable colleagues.

These nominations follow several industry-leading award wins for Riverside. In March, Riverside was presented with the Innovation Award at the Housing Technology Awards for the Streamlined Complaints Handling with Integrated AI project.

In the autumn, Riverside Scotland received both the Housing-Led Approach to Ending Homelessness Award and the Excellence in Leadership Award at the Chartered Institute of Scotland Excellence Awards. The nominations recognised Riverside Scotland’s Housing First for Families service and strong emphasis on customer-focused leadership.

The Northern Housing Awards are due to take place on Thursday 21 May 2026.

Lynsey Beckley, Director of Asset Strategy at Riverside said: “These nominations reflect our teams’ continued commitment to deepening relationships with our strategic partners. By combining all our areas of expertise, we are delivering essential retrofit works across our regions while also ensuring our customers are kept engaged at every stage. These partnerships have also allowed us to bring about a step change in how we use technology, from introducing single-platform tools that provide real-time updates to adopting end-to-end software that helps us to stay aligned with complex regulatory requirements.”

Alison Stock, Director of Digital & Technology Services at Riverside said: “Our AI Programme has already made a significant impact at Riverside and it is fantastic to see it recognised once again at the Northern Housing Awards. Since launching, the programme – with governance at the fore and centre – has started to drive better customer outcomes and improved AI literacy. It also looks set to continue delivering enhanced operational efficiency, while being implemented safely and ethically. These new nominations are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our talented team, who have built a truly innovative model that can be easily scaled across the sector.”
