What is Acre Lane?

Here at Acre lane, our aim is to, “promote the independence of service users experiencing severe and enduring mental ill health whilst developing relapse prevention skills and improving security of tenure.”

Mental Health Support

The scheme offers service users a safe and relaxed living environment in an area which is ideally located for public transport, shopping and entertainment. The service itself is provided to customers who are assessed as needing medium to high levels of support.

Delivery of service is achieved through an experienced and highly motivated team of support workers, alongside a number of professional partnerships.

Recently refurbished, the scheme now offers an open plan reception that has been constructed to give the feel of a less institutional set up. The customer’s lounge has been fitted with a smart TV and an internet bar for easy access.

Modernised with newly fitted bathrooms, shower rooms, and toilets, Acre lane is not only fit for purpose but gives our customers a comfortable and stress free living space much like their own home.

Facilities and services:

  • 24 hour support and a named Keyworker.
  • Access to a program of activities that includes relapse prevention workshops.
  • Access to an employment support program.
  • Assistance in holding, supervising and developing independence in managing medication.
  • Pre-tenancy training and resettlement support.

Who we can help

We work with adults experiencing severe and enduring mental health problems. To be considered for a place at Acre Lane Hostel a referral must first be made to Lambeth’s Support Needs and Placement Team (SNAP) who will then forward those details to us.

We look to try and work closely with stakeholders to ensure each referral to us has the best chance of a successful offer – both accommodation and support.
