Floating support services

Riverside’s national network of teams provides visiting or floating support workers, which gives former homeless and other vulnerable people, the best chance of maintaining their tenancies, and accessing the right range of support in their local area.

Providing floating support to customers in their own home may entail finding the most suitable accommodation for their needs, then supporting them to settle into that property. We offer wrap-around packages for people who need a high level of ongoing and consistent contact.

Floating Support

Cambridge Mental Health Floating Support Service

Available across Cambridge City, Wisbech, March, Huntingdon and Ely; Cambridge Mental Health Floating Support Service provides support for adults aged 18 or over with mental health issues who need help to maintain their accommodation but are not already supported by NHS mental health services.

Their one-to-one support enables people to stay in their home, offering practical help and advice on the day-to-day issues that are part of maintaining a place to live. We help people with mental health issues such as depression, schizophrenia, bi-polar and personality disorder.

Support beyond housing – building a customer’s confidence and independence by identifying emotional needs, then developing individually tailored coping strategies for each person. This leads to appropriate education, training and work opportunities for each customer being identified.
