What is the Victoria Project?

We are a specialist support centre for the homeless, particularly for those who have experienced addiction or mental health issues. Our support network and accommodation provides a stable, relaxing and motivational atmosphere for our customers to make a positive new start in life.

The complex is bright and simple but well-designed surroundings encourage residents to take a sense of pride in the centre which has a knock-on effect on the way they view themselves and their future opportunities.

People With Complex Needs

You’ll find:

  • 34 rooms with shared bathroom and kitchen facilities.
  • Communal lounge with digital TV, wifi and a Wii games console.
  • Large communal garden and patio area.
  • Laundry room.
  • Social activities like Summer BBQ’s, quizzes, tenancy workshops, resident meetings.
  • Day trips out and organised events.

How it works?

All are in the process of tackling the problems that caused their homelessness so we help them take ownership of their situations and start to make positive changes in their lives in a way that uses an informed psychological approach – PIE.

Getting the most out of our service

We know everyone has their own personal goals which is why we work individually with you to find out exactly what your needs are so we can offer the right detox treatments, mental health support and counselling that will work for you.

Our staff are here to listen. Tell us what you think of the service, what you would like to see, so we can keep on improving what we do and offer new opportunities that we wouldn’t of even thought of.

Why we are different?

It’s safe and secure at The Victoria Project with staff on hand 24/7 to assist you whenever you need. We have a manager on site Monday to Friday with a duty manager available at weekends.

We understand just how difficult it can be adapting to change and new routines so we try to make your stay as comfortable as possible, and support you emotionally too, we’re more than just housing. We also give you the space and the freedom you need to grow as an individual.

It doesn’t just end when you leave the centre either. Live locally? Then we can continually help you in your new home with ‘out of hour’ appointments to suit your circumstances.
