Day of Action in Aigburth
Last Friday (16 November) Riverside teamed up with Merseyside Police and Street Scene to meet with local customers residing in Alexandra Park flats in Aigburth, Liverpool.
The day was organised for local residents to have the opportunity to speak to Riverside staff in confidence about any tenancy and housing related matters or raise any concerns they may have. It was also an opportunity to gain feedback from them about how they felt about the area, how we can help to improve it and what they can do.
Representatives from Merseyside Police and Streetscene were also on hand to discuss any neighbourhood issues in confidence and share information about how to report any criminal activity in the area anonymously.
Riverside’s environmental team – Your Place were onsite to help clear away any fly tipping and rubbish around the four blocks of flats.
James Middleton, Housing Service Manager at Riverside said: “We wanted give the residents the opportunity to meet with the various different services available from Riverside and externally so that they could get their views across about the local area, their home and anything else.
“We spoke to some of the residents and we will be using this feedback to make improvements, we’ve already started to look at the exterior of the blocks of flats to see how we can change that.
“We will continue to work with the residents to identify where we can help to improve and make changes, as well as getting residents to see how they can help too.”
