It’s National Apprenticeship Week!  Apprentices across Riverside are telling their own stories about how working with Riverside is transforming their lives. 

Today we meet Jade who is working with Evolve Facilities, part of Riverside Group delivering our repairs and maintenance service .

“I started working for Evolve as an apprentice in Business Administration  in February 2015. 

Before starting the apprenticeship I attended Sixth Form but quickly realised it wasn’t really for me. I thought something more like an apprenticeship would be beneficial as I would be working and gaining qualifications at the same time.

I had never really thought of doing business admin before but when the chance of an apprenticeship with Evolve was suggested it seemed interesting so I thought I’d give it a go.

A year later, I’m coming to the end of my Level Two of Business Administration and I’m really enjoying it. Throughout the last year I have learned many new  skills. My colleagues at Evolve are really supportive and friendly and they are willing to give help whenever needed as I am still learning to do some things. They have taught me a lot by showing me how to use and do things such as managing the systems and managing information.

I think that Evolve is a great company and they have taught me many things that I didn’t know before I started. They have amazing staff and I’m learning new things every day. In the future I hope that I am still working with Evolve and hopefully these new skills to make me more successful. I’m now doing something which I enjoy a lot and would have never of thought about in past, I would recommend an apprenticeship to anyone”
