First Residents’ Steering Group meetings to take place in London

Residents are being invited to join a new steering group to help shape the multi-million pound regeneration of their estate.

Riverside is planning to invest in building new homes and improving two neighbourhoods in Bromley and one in Lambeth, all in London.

Residents have already taken part in consultation events and visits, having a say on what’s important to them and what they would like to see in their area in the future.

Now a formal Residents’ Steering Group is being set up on each estate so that Riverside customers living there can continue to shape the proposals.

Details of the first meetings are:

  • Bromley – Calverley Close: Monday 11 September at 7pm in the marquee outside Warner House at Calverley Close.
  • Lambeth – Geoffrey, York and Canterbury Close: Thursday 14 September at 7pm at Harry Caddick Community Centre, 63 Lilford Road, SE5 9HN.
  • Bromley – Pike Close: Tuesday 19 September at 7pm Sundridge Working Men’s Club, 134 Burnt Ash Lane, BR1 5AF.

Initial consultation events were held last year and a second series took place in the spring. Around 280 residents from the three estates have attended workshops and drop-in sessions, and during the summer residents visited a neighbourhood elsewhere in London where similar regeneration work has been carried out.
