It is with great sadness that we learned that our dear friend and colleague Ruth Richardson had passed away on Tuesday 3 January 2023 following a cancer diagnosis in February 2022.

Ruth began her career in Riverside’s Care and Support service in 2016 before joining the Liverpool City Region team as a Regional Services Manager. In September 2021, she took the national role of Customer Safety Manager, making a real difference to the lives of our customers, particularly those impacted by anti-social behaviour.

A much-loved friend and colleague, Ruth was well respected across the organisation for her expertise, passion, focus and diligence. She placed our customers at the centre of all decisions and worked tirelessly to ensure colleagues had the knowledge, tools and skills to support customers whose personal safety and wellbeing were at risk.

Ruth was an exceptional woman: she had a hugely positive impact on all who met her, customers and colleagues alike.  Her warmth, sincerity, light and laughter will be missed by us all.
