One of Riverside’s affordable home developments has won Gold in the prestigious First Time Buyer Readers’ Award 2018.

Silverbirch, a shared ownership scheme near Newcastle, was voted Best New Development in the North, competing against two other contenders.

Colleagues from Riverside Home Ownership and Development and Growth collected the coveted trophy at an awards ceremony in London hosted by A Place in the Sun presenter Jonnie Irwin. He congratulated the team on their win.

Over 400 property industry experts from around the country attended the event which recognises exceptional new homes that are accessible to first time buyers, without compromising on quality or design.

Silverbirch received the award following a month of online voting by readers of the magazine.

The 40 new homes for shared ownership include excellent finishes throughout, while customers benefit from advice and support from Riverside’s dedicated teams throughout the whole moving in process.

The first residents have already settled in to the new homes and the final few properties will be handed over to their new owners this summer.
