Your Retirement Living

Get fit, get safe, get savvy – get together!

Since its launch in May, thousands of Retirement Living customers up and down the country have benefited from our new Health and Wellbeing Service.

It’s aimed at older customers and offers a range of themed, monthly activities to help you to remain independent and feel great.

Now we want to hear from you so we can find out what you think so far and get your ideas for the future.

What events would you like to see in your Retirement Living scheme, how often, and what interests you?

How can I have my say?

We’ve distributed a survey to schemes nationwide so we can gather your comments and suggestions. If you’ve not taken part yet, please speak to your scheme staff. Alternatively, tell us what you think by emailing [email protected]

Raise £9,700 for charity? Piece of cake!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined in with Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

Almost 40 Retirement Living schemes brewed up for the worthy cause – and raised a whopping £9,759 to help people with cancer and their families.

Customers at Liberton Court in Liverpool raised a staggering £1,300, while Old Chapel Close residents in Nottinghamshire raised £620.

Whether you joined a fundraiser or just got together with friends to support the event, thank you.

It was all part of our Let’s Celebrate Older People campaign in October and we’ll be making this an annual celebration.

More monthly activities for you

The Health and Wellbeing Service continues in 2018…

February – Friendly February
It’s Random Act of Kindness month, so we’ll be looking for nominations for the friendliest person in your scheme. Do they go the extra mile for others and deserve a treat from us? We’ll also be looking at volunteering and training opportunities for you.

March – Meet and Make
With Spring almost in the air, we’ll take a look at what’s happening in your area, what groups you can join and what resources you can tap into. And we’ll have some great arts and crafts sessions for you to take part in.
