South Lakes Foyer is situated in the centre of Kendal. Access from Yard 95, Stricklandgate or the front entrance next to the bus station.
Offering accommodation and support to young people in the area. As well as access to training, learning and enhanced social opportunities to the wider community of South Lakes, Cumbria and further afield.
We help local people fulfil their potential and improve their quality of life by offering excellent facilities for a wide variety of recreational, cultural, educational and social opportunities. Including:
14 self-contained flats for young people age 16-25, with support if needed, to help them live independently.
A community resource centre with a Cyber Café, support groups, education and training opportunities.
Affordable office spaces and meeting rooms.

Cyber Café
Want to surf the net and enjoy a cup of tea or a coffee? Our Cyber Café has two modern laptops for public use and plenty of space available if you want to come along with your own device and connect to the free Wi-Fi. Our friendly staff are on hand as well should you need any help or advice.
Charges:
- Use of a computer £0.50 for 30 minutes
- Photocopying and printing per sheet – £0.20 black and white, £0.30 colour.
Open 9am-3pm Monday to Friday.
Warm Space
Looking for somewhere to stay safe and warm? Feel free to come along and sit in our café seating area and have a warm drink for free. We are open from 9.30am-3pm Monday to Friday. The Winter Warm Space operates between October and March.

South Lakes Foyer has a wonderful new tenant! Host of the Roast & More provides delicious food in a friendly atmosphere.
They’re open every day except Wednesdays and offer:
- Breakfast boxes to eat in or takeaway – 8.30-10.30am
- Amazing daily specials – 10.30am-2.30pm
- Gorgeous Sunday Roasts delivered in the Kendal Area between 12.30pm-4.30pm
Conference facilities and meeting room hire
We provide affordable meeting room hire facilities and services to help local people and businesses throughout South Cumbria and beyond.
Located in Kendal town centre and easily accessible to the M6 and A6. We are close to public transport links and parking facilities. We are next to the bus station with a multi-story car park above. South Lakes Foyer is perfectly situated for hosting events, meetings and training sessions.

We have various rooms available for hire to suit all your needs and can arrange outside catering if needed.
