Retrofit: energy efficiency in our homes

Our energy efficiency strategy

Print

Our energy efficiency strategy is to ensure all homes reach a minimum energy efficiency standard by 2030

To achieve that, we will tackle the lowest performing, most in-need homes first, aiming to bring all homes up to an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of C by 2030, unless it is not technically possible or economically viable to do so.

Approximately 70% of Riverside homes are currently already at or above, this level.

You will be able to see the Energy Performance Certificate of your home once it is lodged.

Identifying suitable properties

We are carrying out a thorough survey of our homes to identify properties eligible for government funding aimed at improving social housing.

Through this process we are assessing each home against government-set criteria to determine whether they are suitable for funding support.

Once the survey is done, we will assess the energy performance of your home and decide if works are needed.

If your property is identified as suitable for energy improvement works, we will contact you and arrange a survey to see what measures would work best for your home.

Our Retrofit Advisors will guide you through the process and answer any questions you may have.
